This beautiful 7000 square foot “listed early Victorian” property was dilapidated and uninhabitable, consumed by dry and damp rot and in need of complete renovation and attention. Part of an impressive terrace, the houses were built in 1840 for a newly emerging wealthy middle class – taking up to five years to complete as is evident in the perfect proportions, magnificent plasterwork and beautiful joinery. Coordinating and working with a team of conservation architects, experienced builders and restoration specialists, Corinna Knaggs with Knaggsie Interiors devised layouts, finishes and sympathetic detailing allowing the property to be reborn as a warm and comfortable family home that has been preserved so that it should last for a further 150 years.
